  SPAYING DOG: Any recommendations on vet? We are needing to spay our dog in the next couple months. We received a quote from out vet of $500-1000. I understand there are different procedures and optional bloodwork, etc. We want the best for our dog but have already spent so much on vet and supplies and classes. I don't want to cheap out but are there huge discrepancies in price and practice? Where did you go ? Cost? Happy with service? One procedure over another? Advice?

  We have used these guys http://midlakevet.com/ for both our dogs,a Malamute/Shepard and a Dachshund we thought they were reasonable, I think it was $500 for our Malamute... And we were pretty happy with the service!
