  Home inspector recommendations? I know my realtor can suggest some and I can use yelp... but I've heard that you should consider finding your own home inspector (versus going with the one your realtor suggests) and also the reviews on yelp seem kind of sparse. (Not a whole of reviews for most places and the ones that have reviews have all been rated highly.) Anyone here have one that was great to work with and that you'd recommend?

  We've used [Apex Inspections](http://apexinspect.com/) twice, very thorough and informative. Ask for Steve Cannon. [Yelp](http://www.yelp.com/biz/apex-home-inspection-austin). That authentication thing on their website is weird, though, just click cancel.
