Can anyone recommend a good bass guitar teacher? I'll soon be moving back to Pittsburgh for a while and looking for a good bass teacher for individual lessons. Does anyone have any good recommendations (or maybe you are a teacher yourself)?
I'm at a beginner level as I've been mostly self-taught for the past year or so, though I have previous musical experience on another instrument. I'm interested in a variety of musical styles, but mostly with funk and jazz leanings.
If anyone teaches or can recommend someone around the city, I would be grateful!

Hey there, I can attest that Jeff Mangone is a stellar teacher. I studied double bass with him for a while several years ago. ...also, going to put my name out there. I teach out of my home studio in Latrobe and on Skype. I have had success with doing a combination of live/video lessons. ...a lot of my students have been playing a while, play in bands, etc. and want to learn some new stuff. PM me on here if you'd like more information ...also my facebook music page is at: https://www.facebook.com/KyleGreeneMusic/ I am mostly a funk/jam/jazz guy and also do solo shows with a looper sometimes. ...welcome back!
