Empire Music in Mt. Lebanon gave me some helpful lessons - I had a classical music background and some practical experience, just needed some basic music theory and technique. See if Matt Booth is still instructing there. He's great, and I believe he has a jazz background, which would be even better for you.

Jeff Mangone! He teaches out of his house in the North Hills but he is also an instructor at Duquesne and can provide lessons in the city on certain days from what I remember. I moved to the South Hills so can't take lessons from him anymore but I really enjoyed my time with him. Very well respected professional musician and showed me lots of respect despite having 1/20 th of his playing ability.

I highly recommend Yonatan Abramowicz, 0548485080. He is an amazing guitarist and a fabulous, patient and talented teacher. He is Israeli, also speaks fantastic English and will come to your home. He teaches children and adults. He is my teacher and has taught my daughter and we are really happy!
