  Looking for a sushi restaurant I am in Baton Rouge for work and I'm craving sushi. I've done the typical google and yelp search for sushi restaurants, and they all kind of have the save reviews. Plus, I kind of take those reviews with a grain of salt and would like to hear some of reddit opinions. I'm not looking for what the city rates as the best sushi joint. I like those hole in the wall, mom and pop type places, with that simple, homey atmosphere. Cause usually those tend to be better. Bonus points if the sushi chef is Japanese and the restaurant servers Omakase, for those who know what it is. Thanks in advance for the opinions and recommendations.   Most sushi chefs in baton rouge are going to be non japanese (chinese, vietnamese, white, and black). Mostly asian chefs on the sushi bar. You wont find amazing sushi in baton rouge by any means. If it is good occasion, i recommend Shogun in Metarie. http://www.shogunneworleans.com/?page_id=256
