Since I have a newborn and indoor cats, I've tried less hazardous/chemical-y ways to treat the ants (Amdro, borax, diatomaceous earth) and while these treatments work for a day or two, they come back a few days later.   I had great luck with [Hall Pest Management](http://www.pestmanagementoceanside.com/), recommended if you're in their service area. Would recommend staying away from Corky's, they are useless at best.
