I've been to the States several times over the past year and I really miss the food. I'm in Killara, so I'd prefer not to have to travel way out west or south if at all possible.   [Hartsyard](http://hartsyard.com.au/) in Newtown cooks up a real good Southern inspired menu. It's a little price-y and on the fancy side, but I would highly recommend. Went with a group of 6 people and we were all so satisfied. Apparently the biscuit and fried chicken are real good. I recommend the smoky sweet potato, it was out-of-this-world amazing. I've also heard that [Miss Peaches](http://www.misspeaches.com.au/) is pretty good too! Southern style food as well.
