If you search Texas BBQ Waitara, you might be pleasantly surprised. Just head down the train line towards Hornsby. Hole in the wall little diner specialising in BBQ (slow cooked) Texas Style. Note. Must like BBQ Rib type food i.e. smoky ribs

Yarra Glen. The Grand Hotel. Enclosed kids area inside and a nice big playground outside. Ideal for lunch after / before a visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie
