Veterinary Cardiologist Recommendations Hey all, my cat got diagnosed with an (apparently) very loud heart murmur today. My vet recommended taking her to NC state to get checked out by a cardiologist there. From what I've read on their site, the cost of doing all the diagnostic tests and everything is around 800 dollars, something above and beyond my ability to pay.
I wanted to throw this out to /r/gso to see if anyone has had experience with this sort of thing, knows any competent but perhaps more affordable cardiologists in the area (or places that allow you to negotiate a payment plan), etc etc. Any and all advice appreciated. If it's helpful my cat is an indoor animal, female, and about 8 years old give or take (found her as a stray).

I'd also recommend Benessere Animal Hospital (http://www.bahpetcare.com/). Dr. Janine Oliver saved my little guy's life a couple years ago while she was working at another vet hospital, and we've kept in touch. She is a wonderful vet. She also used to work at Carolina Vet Specialists and they're very good, so if for any reason you find CVS doesn't work out for you, I'd say give Benessere a call.
