Greg Roten probably shouldnt own any animal if he cant pay a small rehoming fee or answer questions... that just makes it very suspicious... and yes some people think of there dogs as children because MANY people cant have children or dont want any. So therefor your entire comment is absurd.

This dog should be fixed before he is rehomed to ensure he isn't used as a stud for dog fighting If you contact the Humane Society of Alamance County, they may be able to help with a low cost spay/neuter voucher. If you haven't contacted Merit Pit Bull Foundation, they may be able to help as well. https://www.facebook.com/TheMeritPitBullFoundation

I don't have any personal experience finding a cardiologist for my pets, but I did used to work at a veterinary clinic, so I have some insight. There is a clinic in Greensboro called Carolina Veterinary Specialists. The doctors I worked with would often refer clients there for procedures that were more advanced, such as complicated tumor removals and anything that was eye-related. I would think that they have a cardiologist on staff, too, but I would call them to confirm. In terms of price, since they are a speciality/emergency clinic, they are likely to be on the pricier side. However, I believe they accept pet insurance, which I highly recommend you apply for. Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) seemed to be the most popular among the clients I worked with. With VPI, you pay for all of the services upfront, the veterinary staff faxes in the invoice and insurance forms, and the company determines what is covered and reimburses you directly. You likely won't find any clinics in Greensboro that offer payment plans, so this is your best bet to minimize costs. I hope this all helps! Good luck!
