  Can you recommend a decent, cheap hotel in Charleston? My boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Charleston over the summer. We may be there for a weekend in March for a conference he wants to attend. I want to try and get a feel for Charleston while he is in his meetings so I'd like to stay somewhere where there is cool stuff going on (downtown I'm assuming). However **we are students and can't afford to pay a lot.** I've been checking online but it's hard to tell if the cheap places are going to be decent. I'd hate to shell out even $60 a night for a place that's dirty or creepy. Any recommendations you all may have would be very helpful to us. :)

  I know charleston has a hostel. I know hostels have a bad reputation because of the movies, but I've stayed in a few. They are very cheap, and meant for young adults on a very tight budget. They are very safe, it's virtually like a big dorm room. I even did all the work for you and found you the website. http://notsohostel.com/index.html
