So, it's our 20th anniversary next month, and the wife and I have rented a cabin outside of Gatlinburg. We're coming from Canada where barbecue isn't really a thing...

Don't miss The Local Goat everything is scratch-made right down to the bread and sauces. They have ribs as well. It's the best restaurant we've found in Pigeon Forge.
Darryl B. replied:
My favorites, not necessarily BBQ, are Holstons Kitchen in Sevierville and the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. For pizza, try the Mellow Mushroom.
Chad C. replied:
Bennett’s is the best you will find. Brisket wasn’t too shabby! https://www.bennetts-bbq.com/

Hungry Bear BBQ is excellent!

For BBQ in Gatlinburg, Three Jimmy’s is the place! I had a ribs and pulled pork plate, and it was really good! They have nice drink specials as well! If you are I. Sevierville, try Tony Gore’s!

I just got back from there literally an hour ago. We went in august, also. As far as Bbq, i wasnt satisfied with Bennetts. Thought it was very mediocre at best. The food we had in general in Gatlinburg and pidgeon forge was just ok. We did go to The Alamo steakhouse last night for our 21 st anniversary, and it was very good. Had the bone in ribeye, it was cooked over white oak, and was deliscious. Enjoy your stay, it really is a beautiful place. We got snow tuesday night into weds morning, and it was just amazing.
Headed to Lodge Alley in Charleston next week. Any suggestions on restaurants would be great. Thank you. 3rd trip in 3 months. Love BG. Love this site......

Fleet Landing is 1 block away. Great seafood and view of the harbor. Jestines Kitchen for original southern country food. There is a NY style pizza place across the street.

Fleet Landing. Carmella's is great for dessert. We ate at Magnolias 2 weeks ago, absolutely delicious! And next door to Lodge Alley. Poogans is great. Hominy Grill is awesome.
Jeannie H. replied:
Poogans porch for brunch ... chicken and waffles or an omelet and a bloody mary! Fleets Landing and we actually loved T-Bones!

Hello, Glenn -- we live in Anniston (White Plains) and have been BG owners for 4 years now. We LOVE it! Just got back from Savannah & Myrtle Beach for spring break. But drove thru Charleston for the day. We loved the cool city market area -- like the French market in NOLA. There's great restaurants in the middle of them (on the street parallel - Market Street). We ate at Charleston Crab House & highly recommend! It's a neat town - enjoy! We look forward to being able to get back there & Savannah again (hopefully) soon! Also AW Shucks, Poogans Porch, or South of Broad.

Not a specific suggestion but look at VRBO and airbnb. I went to Asheville last month and used airbnb. You can narrow your search options to pet-friendly.

Highly recommend the Seven Foxes cabins. My wife and I did a road trip with our two dogs, took them with us to nearby waterfall parks and hiked around the hills in the cabin, it was great. There's a couple small towns nearby and a couple decent restaurants. http://www.sevenfoxes.com/index.htm
If any of you go to Disney World in the future, I absolutely recommend Sanaa (in the animal kingdom lodge). Check out this 100% vegan menu that they have! They also...

We just went to Disney in September and stayed at Pop Century. If you eat at the Mexican restaurant in Epcot, they also have a vegan menu if you ask for it .... AND Cosmic Ray's in Disney, has a veggie burger. Actually, several places at Disney offered vegan options.:)
