  Spending 3 days in Munich, what is a good restaurant that locals can recommend? We will be staying at the Platzl Hotel Munchen, on Sparkassenstrasse street in Marienplatz ( www.platzl.de ) and would like to get a recommendation for a restaurant there. As always, there are the recommendations from the hotel, websites, etc, but would really love a place that someone living in Munich enjoys. We are across the street from a Beer Garden, so we have that covered. Something casual, not too pricey, and fun please! Really excited to see Munich! Thanks in advance.

  Something i really can recommend is the restaurant in the munich national museum. http://www.bnmrestaurant.de/index.html they have great food and are surprisingly cheap, especially for lunch. they usually have a menu for lunch which is around 35-45 euros and is on par with 1 star restaurants
