  I can't recommend [A Pet's Place](http://www.apetsplacelongmont.com/#) in Longmont heartily enough. Dr. Joan is incredibly warm and knowledgeable; she'll come to feel like a friend to both you and your dog. My wife and I took our malamute there her entire life (in fact, some of the techs there knew her longer than we did, as they also volunteered at the shelter we adopted her from). They never pushed expensive treatments on us, and were always willing to give us a variety of options. If [my Stella](http://imgur.com/hI7 y5 hu) were still alive, I'd still be taking her there today, despite having moved an hour away.
