  I'd highly recommend Nadaeu in Homewood, http://www.furniturewithasoul.com/birmingham/, some things are *pretty* pricey, but other things are a pretty good deal. Also Encore in Pelham (http://www.encoreresales.com) and Brass Bear in Hoover (https://m.facebook.com/BrassBearAntiques/). However all of the above greatly depend on your personal style.
