I'm about to adopt an 8 month old lab, and I'm looking for an affordable vet in the area for annual visits/vaccinations etc. Affordability is key since I'm a student. Any suggestions? I have a car so I'd be willing to travel to other neighborhoods, though I'd definitely prefer closer to West Roxbury. I checked out the reviews for the MSPCA clinic, and they seemed to be polarized. I also checked out Parkway Veterinary Hospital. Anyone have any experiences here? Thanks all!

  If you're willing to trek into JP (which since you're talking about Angell I'm assuming is an option for you), check out [JP Animal Clinic](http://www.jpanimalclinic.com/). Dr. Johnson is fantastic-- my dog gets *excited* whenever we walk past the office, and their rates are much more reasonable than Angell's.
