  I will be attending E3 this year. Looking for hotel reccomendations I was initially looking for a room close to the convention center but they are either booked or too expensive. I tried to look a bit outside of downtown, but the surrounding areas look dangerous. I'd rather not get mugged. Does anyone know of any safe, cheap hotels ($150 or less) that are close to the metro? Also, if it has any hidden fees like parking, they can f*ck off. I only give my money to businesses that are straight up with me.

  I talked with an Expedia rep and got a bundle deal that included this hotel: http://theaventurahotel.com It's relatively close to the E3 convention center, about 2 miles away. Prices and hotel seems reasonable. I'm not getting a rental car, so I'm probably relying on Uber or taxis or whatever.
