  We stayed at The Viceroy which is in Santa Monica and it's the bomb (but has a nightclub so ask for one of the top floors). We got a deal on Magelan Vacations (sp?) which brought rates down from ridiculous to affordable. 5 min from beach. In San Diego we stayed in Bahia Beach Resort which is a 5 min walk from beach and was just average but def nice enough with a huge pool! Will be in touch v soon my dear! Have fun planning.
