  I went fishing in San Felipe in 2012. It's not an area known for sport fishing – you're probably not going to catch a giant yellowtail – but there are fish to be had, mostly rockfish, ling cod, sheepshead, some sea bass, and other, smaller fish. We went out on a panga with "Captain Mike" who we contacted through Baja Juliet https://www.facebook.com/228155713905003 at San Felipe Rentals (also talk to her about affordable lodging). The first few hours were a wash, but then the captain took us to his favorite spot, and we pulled in about 30 smaller (yet legal) fish within an hour! http://www.sanfeliperentals.com
