  I know this is a bit random... but I'm not sure where else to ask! - as this place seems to have a good community vibe.. I thought I'd throw it out here! so here goes: I’ve wanted to do some voluntary work for some time and have decided I would like to do in the elderly sector….(well its either cats or people & as much as love my feline friends I feel humans should come first!) --- However, am not sure how to go about it.. so.. does anyone know of any (local) charities or organizations that are looking for Volunteers, say the Hospital or some care homes for example.. was thinking of doing something like visiting folk in care homes and/or hospital visits to the elderly…. Any ideas/input would be appreciated. Tnx.
