Anyone got any good experience or recommendations of good apartments or hostels in Amsterdam for a group of morons? Its the only city I ever go where I struggle to get good accommodation!

http://www.hansbrinker.com/ I stayed here first time I went. Wouldn't say it was a good experience but it was definitely an experience.
Has anyone been to Amsterdam? If so, can you recommend some decent accommodation/areas to stay?!

http://www.hans-brinker.com/ hostel so its dirt cheap, they advertsie themselves as the worst hostel in europe as a joke but its actually really tidy and dead in the centre to everything
I just came to Amsterdam by train without arranging a place to sleep. Need hostel recommendations (up to 25e) I am using a coin-operated internet in a coffeshop called Double Reggae.
The hostel would have to be close to the center, ent-friendly and have a good vibe.
Also, if anyone has a free couch and they would allow me to crash there that would be great.
I'm staying in Amsterdam 2 or 3 nights, depending on how fast I spend my money.
I would give you a phone number to call, but my phone got stolen in Barcelona a couple of days ago. So, I will wait here until I have no more coinage to power the internet.
I'm also on couchsurfing.org, so if you want my profile PM me.

Looking for hostel near the Melkweg Going to Jam in the Dam festival and I want to have a place I can rest my head that is nearby. Any natives/travelers that can recommend a place? Also, would love to meet up with some fellow redditors for a beer/coffee.

Have you checked out this one - I think this is the best spot in the city to be at - 7 minute walk to Melkweg: [Hans Brinker](http://www.hans-brinker.com/) I also stumbled across [this](http://www.internationalbudgethostel.com/) the other night. But I cant vouch for it. Happy travels :D
