  Cheapest Place to buy plants? Hey all, I’ve recently moved from Northern CA to San Diego. Up in Northern CA, at farmers markets you were able to get extremely inexpensive vegetable plants/herbs, for around/under $1. So far, I’m finding they range around $3-5 here. Are there any inexpensive nurseries, farmers markets, or other places I could buy plants from. Specifically looking for tomato plants. Thanks!

  I used to buy from plug connection in Vista, which is top quality vegetables at bulk discounts, but I was with a non-profit so we some how bent the rule on selling to 'professional growers only'. I would try and make friends with some kind of similar organization and pool money with neighbors and see if you can get lucky. http://www.plugconnection.com
