Looking for a Reputable cake bakery for a birthday cake Hi!
I’ve only lived in Victoria for about 6 months and I’m looking for a pretty basic but good quality and delicious birthday cake for my significant others birthday this year.
Can anyone recommend a good bakery here that can make me a cake?

Lighthouse Cake Company or The Sugar Shack at My Chosen Cafe for cheesecake.
Where can I get a good Plum pudding or fruit cake?
Didn’t get my act together to make one ahead of time so I’m looking for recommendations. I haven’t searched too broadly yet but was very surprised to find the ones carried at Thrifties and Save On were very low quality looking. Locally I’ve tried Bubba Rose’s (good but not the style I’m looking for) and a slice of one from Wildfire bakery.
I’m curious to know what’s out there that is locally made (surely something is, isn’t high tea all the rage here?) but due to fact that these things are very shelf stable imports are fine.
Thanks ✨

[Lighthouse Cake Company](http://www.lighthousecakecompany.ca/) in Langford had a dark fruitcake last year. I haven't checked for this year.
Good place to get a cake I'm doing my birthday party at the end of the month and I'm wondering if there's any places that folks would recomend for getting a quarter slab or half slab cake that will taste good, but won't break the bank.
Right now I'm looking a few options.
Edit: I have seen lits if recommendations here, but a few get knocked out (like market and daniel) due to the use of liqueurs in their ingredients.
It's down to lighthouse, bubby rose (pm'd), and qv.

If you need a very large cake, Costco has a pretty damn good cake for a decent price. My favorite cakes in the city is the Hedgehog or Ultimate cake from [Lighthouse Cakes](http://www.lighthousecakecompany.ca/) in Langford.
