  Agreed with /u/senator_of_dick that that doesn't seem too bad. Keep in mind that unlike a bike from Walmart which is assembled by people that only have to pay the cost of living of China or Vietnam, DC bike mechanics have to pay DC rent and will need to be compensated accordingly. If you can't swing that and you're willing to put in some elbow grease, though, there are a couple of places that can help you do the assembly yourself.
