so my friend called me earlier asking me to recommend a vet to declaw her cat.....i told her i couldn't in good conscience give her any advice on the subject....and she doesn't want to do it but she lives in a subsidised housing unit and the land lord is telling her she has to or she can't have the cat (cali) Cali is her daughter's cat (therapy cat) so she can't give it up as her daughter needs her....i told her to try and convince her land lord to allow her to get nail caps and to get some literature on why declawing is bad....which she is going to do however i am wondering if there is any laws in minnesota prohibiting a landlord to force the mutilation of cats.....also.....this is a MINNESOTA government housing apartment.....SECTION 8 is there anything at all that anyone can suggest as to how to look into this and anyway to suggest that this be changed if in fact there is no law on the books at the current time and any suggestions on how to shame section 8 into changing this policy
