  Suggestions on a unique space for a small party My mother is retiring in January, and my sisters and I want to throw her a small retirement party (30-40 people). We’ve looked into renting a cool/unique place on AirBnb for a night and hiring a caterer but nothing seemed to match what we are looking for. Any suggestions on venues to check out? It can be west of Syracuse as well since some folks would be coming from Rochester. Thanks!

  If downtown Syracuse works, here’s some options: Otro Cinco holds private events in the lobby of the University Block (the building they’re in), which is a really cool space. http://university-building.com The Sweet Praxis bakery holds private events after hours.
