  Best places to buy furniture in and around Dayton and places to avoid? As the title says, looking for some new furniture. First and foremost, need a new couch and some barstools. Also looking into another entertainment/TV stand. I’m new to the area and I’ve been browsing the local furniture stores. I just wanted to hear from some of you guys and talk places that you would or would not recommend. Looking for honest thoughts, good or bad. Also, maybe I’ve missed a few places that don’t pop up on a google search. Let’s hear it!

  When I was shopping for furniture, [Furniture City](https://www.furniturecitydayton.com/) in Airway shopping center was the only place the salespeople didn't hover and badger the fuck out of me. Got a super comfy couch + loveseat set for a very reasonable price there. There's also a [Morris Back Room](https://www.morrisbackroom.com/) furniture outlet over by Dayton-Yellow Springs where I got some great deals on my pub table set and bedroom set.

  I've been pretty happy with Cedar Hill Furniture. No one there is all that pushy and their prices are pretty good for a locally owned place. Furniture quality has been good enough that I can't speak to how they handle problems. Only real bad thing I can say is that it seems you gotta stay on top of them with the delivery. Things have been shipped to their warehouse for us and they didn't realize it until we called. But they got it on a truck asap at that point. Delivery guys have been good too
