Best places to buy furniture in and around Dayton and places to avoid? As the title says, looking for some new furniture.
First and foremost, need a new couch and some...

Ikea isn't too far away

I would avoid Morris/Ashley like the plague. I bought furniture from them and within 3 years it was completely coming apart. I opened it up and none of the joints were flush and most of the nails completely missed the 2 nd piece of wood it was being put into. The entire thing was a steaming pile of crap. On top of that the lamp we bought developed massive cracks up and down the sides of it. It wasn't dropped or anything. They just appeared out of no where.

You might find bar stools at At Home near the Greene. Most of the store is overpriced crappy furniture. But I thought I remember they had decent barstools. They have some cool clocks and nick nacks if you’re into that stuff. For a couch, just go to ikea haha.

Many places have both great and mediocre furniture in the same place. You typically get what you pay for, don't expect a $500 couch to hold up as well as a $2000 couch; although a lot of $2000 couches are also a rip off. Never pay full price for furniture. Some upholstered furniture you can feel along the back and see how much more support is inside on the better pieces, typically a heavier couch is a better couch. I spent my college summers schlepping furniture in the Elder-Beerman furniture warehouse, that is about all I got for you. Oh, and the "fabric protection" is really just an extended warranty and might not be worth it; I was the dude putting another layer of Scotch Gard on even though the manufacture already did it and had the same guarantee....

[Factory Furniture & Mattress](https://www.google.com/search?q=ashley+furniture+phillipsburg+ohio&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS721US721&oq=ashley&aqs=chrome.0.69 i59 l2 j69 i57.1858 j0 j9&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8) Best prices I’ve found in the area. Go to an Ashley store find what you want take a quick picture of the tag and take it to these guys and it will be much cheaper.

I got a great sectional and from United Furniture And Mattress in Huber Heights. It is surviving our puppy chewing it and jumping on it. Great customer service too.

If you're willing to go south, Riley's in Monroe has been a decent choice for me and my family in the past. But the last time I or anyone I know bought anything from there was before the casino opened up so it's been a little while, probably 5-6 years now. Otherwise, the Frontgate suggestion is great and Wayfair just opened up their first and only outlet store in Florence, KY at the south end of the Cincy metro.

Pottery Barn and West Elm outlets out past Xenia have some great sales.

I like BidFTA. It's an auction site with all sorts of stuff. I'd suggest going down to the warehouse to check out what you are bidding on before bidding if you can. I've gotten a couch, patio furniture, a 3 d printer, etc. Make sure you are bidding on the right location also, pick the location before you start looking. I've been pretty happy with Cedar Hill Furniture. No one there is all that pushy and their prices are pretty good for a locally owned place. Furniture quality has been good enough that I can't speak to how they handle problems. Only real bad thing I can say is that it seems you gotta stay on top of them with the delivery. Things have been shipped to their warehouse for us and they didn't realize it until we called. But they got it on a truck asap at that point. Delivery guys have been good too

Home 2 Home has a great mix of new/consignment furniture in all price ranges. They have a frequently changing inventory and things you will not find anywhere else.

Never go to Value City Furniture.

Go to Dayton Discount Furniture. They have locations in Vandalia, Kettering and Fairborn. Amazing prices and awesome customer service. Especially the Kettering one.

Home 2 home in Centerville has good new and used furniture. They have a website that showcases some stock, and their prices drop over time to rotate inventory.

I recommend Furniture Fair. Been happy with my purchases and delivery turnaround from them.
Looking for a reasonable furniture store in Daytona Beach, any suggestions?
Melissa D. replied:
There is a thrift store with a whole room dedicated to furniture that I think they mostly upholster themselves. It is called James One on Nova just south of Beville.

Encore Consignment on Yonge in Ormond always has great stuff
