Just scout for places to go and where's the cheapest accommodation on the internet. Instead of taking a taxi to go to your destination, take the MRT. It will save you money. Or you can walk hahahahaha! Eat places that offers budget meals like rice, and a side dish. The drinks is only a Singaporean dollar or two. You can stay at Chinatown, the rooms there are not that expensive. And it's near an MRT station so easy access. You can use trip Advisor.com in looking for accommodations. I hope this helps.

We have always booked our trips ourselves online and it's worked out great. We have been to Florida, Cuba, Cancun and Greece. Did it all through Expedia.ca or through the airline directly. We traveled throughout Greece last summer and booked flights, car, hotels, through the internet and it saved us tons and it was awesome because we got to decide where we were going to stay based on tips and reviews of others on tripadvisor.com. If you have the time to do the research...that's the way to go. If you don't and you just want to say 'book me an awesome trip in Mexico' and want to give a budget but leave it to someone else to decide the locale for you...then go with an agent. :)

We went with Dr. Sweep even though a little higher because they were closer to us and offer a little more. Both would clean and inspect....Detroit City was $99.00 and Dr. SWEEP $139, but they provide a full report and include some minor repairs and they work on Saturdays. Hope this helps!
