I have a friend in need of a seamstress to make two simply designed bridesmaid dresses for her wedding in June. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi Nikki- Chris O'Hare in Quincy is awesome. She made a bridesmaid dress for me years ago. Very talented. Her number is 617-471-7366.
Any recommendations for a seamstress? I need to get a bridesmaid gown fitted in the next month

I don't know the exact address, but she's on route 3A in Quincy. If you know where the Tom O'Brien Hyundai is or wild Willys she's in between in that area on the left hand side on a corner if you're heading towards Weymouth she's awesome, she's from Greece, been going to her for years.
anybody have recommendations for a wedding dress tailor in the boston or south shore area?

You might want to talk to Karen at In Stitches in Quincy. She runs a sewing school and does a lot of alterations and other seamstress type things.

I used this awesome lady in Quincy. She was inexpensive and it fit like a glove, but her house had a touch of a horders ish vibe. If you can look past that--message me and I'll give her your digits. Shes a whiz
Jamie S. replied:
In Stitches in Quincy is terrific and Karen is my friend's mom. If she doesn't know how to help with you're dress, she'll know someone who does.
Wedding dress alterations in the Boston area? Anyone have a recommendation for a seamstress to do alterations on my wedding dress? I live in Allston but have a car so I can drive to places outside of the city. I've been using yelp to read reviews of local alteration shops but nothing has been very convincing.

Chris O'Hare in Quincy is FANTASTIC. 617-471-7366. She works out of her home and the place is very messy and overwhelming but she is a miracle worker and really underpriced! I bought my dress about 4 sizes too big and she had to rework the whole thing. It was gorgeous and she is the sweetest!
bostononbudget replied:
I had Chris O'Hare do alterations for my wedding dress based on recommendations from a wedding forum. She is located in Quincy, but she is right by the highway and 5 mins to the South Shore Plaza. I didn't have anything overly complicated, but she did a great job and gave me a lot of different bustle options. Oh, and a good price too. Warning if you do go through her, she is really nice and does great work, but her place is like crazy messy and just has dresses and fabric everywhere. http://www.yelp.com/biz/christine-o-hare-quincy
Can anyone recommend a seamstress/tailor for dress alteration?
Nancy K. replied:
found this on yelp http://www.yelp.com/biz/christine-o-hare-quincy but i thought dependable cleaners had alterations too that was long ago though are they still there on the artery?
Anyone know a good seamstress who will do a bridesmaid dress?
Kaitlin K. replied:
I used a place in Quincy, recommeded by Colleen. Her work shop is kind of crazy and unorganized but you cant beat the pricing and she did a good job. chris o"hare. 617-471-7366
