Where can I find a quality tailor to slim down my wool coat without breaking the bank? Bought a new winter coat and love it, but don't want to ruin it by taking it to a...

I went to [Simeon's fine tailoring](http://www.yelp.com/biz/simeons-fine-tailoring-cambridge) in Central Square to get a suit jacket taken in the day before an interview. The owner took my measurements on a moment's notice and turned the jacket around in 24 hours. It's a modest little place and they did a great job. Although I can't remember how much I paid, I remember being very happy with the cost and quality and speed of the work. EDIT: Re-reading the Yelp reviews, it looks like some people consider it pricey. I guess it just depends on what your idea of a good deal is, but at least call and ask for a quote.

I've used a handful of tailors here. My go-to right now is: All Fit Tailoring and Alterations 168 Newbury St 2 nd Floor Boston, MA 02116 (617) 236-1984
They may not be able to do anything. I wanted something similar and was told that while they can take suit jackets apart and do just about anything to them, they can't do much with coats.

Need recommendation for a tailor I just got a suit on the cheap and I'm really pleased with it, except that the sleeves and pant legs are much too long. I've never been...

[This post](http://www.reddit.com/r/boston/comments/bjimp/looking_for_a_good_but_inexpensive_tailor/) is a year old, but it may be helpful. If you want to get everything shortened on the cheap, just walk into any dry cleaners and they'll do it for you, though the quality is questionable.

Go see Nick the Tailor over by Chinatown! http://www.yelp.com/biz/nick-the-tailor-boston Nice guy - very small shop, but does fantastic work. He did all the alterations required for my wedding last year.

Good luck. I went to a guy near Central Square to have a suit altered and the tailor took a mediocre suit and turned it into something suitable only for use as a cat bed.
Alterations needed I just moved to JP and work in Downtown Crossing. The wedding is in October and I need a good tailor for my dress. It needs to be shortened, brought...

Hranoush in Watertown was EXCELLENT and reasonably priced! You could also do Best Fit on Newbury. Both are well known wedding tailors.

Go to Beauge. I have had numerous suits done by him, and they all have been great. I know he does wedding dresses as well. Located in the basement of a building in Pi Alley.
