Recommendations for online seed supplier? Hi, my local nurseries don’t have the quality or variety of “permaculture” plants that I’m after. Does anyone have a good online seed supplier? I’m looking for comfrey, false indigo, lemon grass, even more common things like garlic or kale. Most of my local nurseries just have the same seed packets that can be found at Lowes, many of which are GMO or sterile.

[This](http://www.off-grid.info/food-independence/heirloom-seed-suppliers.html) is a large list of seed suppliers, mostly heirloom/organic. Some links are broken and some places have gone out of business but it’s a great list for regional seed distributors. These are my go-to sites. Where do you buy seeds? I'm looking for seeds to add to a food forest that requires little to no maintenance, like watering (once established). Are there any companies that make seeds for that, rather than standard gardens and commercial production? For instance, companies that focus on native plants, and have things like, for example, squash seeds for drought areas.

Low input/low maintenance plant selection will vary enormously depending on the exact soil and microclimate of the space in question. You can't just buy the seed you need off the shelf, at least not with any confidence they will be right for you. You will need to do your own trial and error to determine what works for you. Sheffields seeds in the USA has one of the widest ranges and highest quality seeds. Many species are also on ebay for pretty low prices but quality varies a lot.
Where to find poppy seeds I’ve been growing hydroponic vegetables and weed for a few years now and I’ve just about mastered the process. I was thinking about getting some poppy
seeds from a bakery and tying to sprout them, but since the grow period is slow and long I don’t want to waste my time. Where can I find actual papaver soniferum seeds? Not the California ones, it seems like most of the ones on amazon are the California type
