Any recommendations for some fun antique/thrift store shopping for a day trip? My mom will be visiting in a couple of weeks and we both like wondering around interesting antique/thrift stores to see the unique, expensive things that we'd never actually buy as well as digging around in the cheaper stores for things we might actually buy.
I've exhausted the thrift stores in the immediate area so was wondering if there were any small towns that have a lot of these type of stores within an hour to hour and a half drive of Cary/Raleigh. Bonus if there are other interesting things to see/do (free/cheap) in the area for a fun day trip out.

Sanford has an Antique Mall that 18,000 square ft with 75 different dealers making it the largest around that area. It is only an hour away from Raleigh and you can spend hours walking around. There is a little coffee shop next to it that is connected so you can grab a drink and browse. [https://www.sanfordantiquemall.com/](https://www.sanfordantiquemall.com/)
