Local bike shops with MTB's in stock I wanna get into mountain biking and I've struggling to find a good bike. Ideally I want a 27.5 in. 1x hardtail and I'd like to spend under $1500. I already tried University Cycles downtown but they had basically nothing in that price range, the options were basically a $500 commuter/mtb hybrid or $3000+ bikes. The guy I talked to told me that apparently there's currently a bike shortage due to demand from COVID, who knew. Does anybody know of any shops in town or in Denver that might have something like what I'm looking for in stock? I tried looking on craigslist/FB too but the used market seems kinda dry as well

I ran into the same problem as you and wanted pretty much exactly what you wanted. I ended up finding one at Wheat Ridge Cyclery for like $1300. You can check their stock on [their website](https://www.wheatridgecyclery.com/).
I have a friend that just moved to Denver he lives in Wheat Ridge and is looking for reputable bike shop. Ideas?

Wheat Ridge Cyclery actually considered one of the best in the USA. I've been in there, it's a bit understated, but pretty spiffy. I'd shop there. And have my bikes serviced there too. https://www.facebook.com/WheatRidgeCyclery

According to a friend of mine that lives in Evergreen, Wheat Ridge Cyclery is the best bike shop in Denver.

I bought my first bike at Wheat Ridge Cyclery! I was hooked ever since
Fedex screwed me over, looking for a nice bike shop (Denver) to get me going again? Fedex lost my saddle bag with multitool/tube, two water bottles, and my 105 pedals.
On my bike I'm missing a quick release, and the cable retention bolt/plate for the rear brake and rear derailleur (ultegra 6700). Are there any bike shops that have these parts in stock?
Thanks!

[Wheat Ridge Cyclery](http://ridewrc.com/) likely has all those items in stock. If you can wait, you can order most from Nashbar and then install them yourself. Salvagetti is probably my favorite shop, but they don't have the stock that Wheat Ridge does. Not sure what FedEx has to do with this, but you can typically file an insurance claim with them for up to at least $100.
