  Anyone have a therapist who helped them figure out their asexuality? I'd really like to have the help of a progressive, educated therapist, well-versed in asexuality, who could help me figure things out. I've been going to therapy for a while now, but so far though I've met multiple different therapists, no one seemed to be super familiar or comfortable with figuring out sexuality. (Getting really tired of therapists who list LGBT+ issues on their Psychology Today profiles but then have very little knowledge of it. Being supportive is different from having expertise.) I'd be super interested in hearing anyone's experience examining/discovering their asexuality in therapy. (And, if anyone has any specific therapist recommendations for people who have been good at this kind of thing, please dm me! I'm in CT/VT but many states are relaxing state licensure restrictions, so I'm open to hearing recommendations for therapists not in my state as well!) Thanks!

  There’s a website called inclusivetherapists.com It’s specifically meant to be all inclusive and there are a lot on there that focus on identity work.

She said she’s tried but wasn’t happy with her search results.   Try this website: https://www.inclusivetherapists.com I actually just discovered it last night through a random google search wondering if there’s one place to find BIPOC therapists. I think it was started by an Austin-based therapist. (Edit to add that it was started by an Austin-based therapist who happens to be a person of color and specifically Asian) And with teletherapy so popular now bc of covid, your friend may not have to even limit their search to the Austin area. Edit to add: I literally found this website last night and only have made one call this morning to schedule a consultation with a therapist. So I don’t have long-term experience with these providers.
