  I have stayed at the Fairmont before and a hotel worker recommended the Nob Hill cafe. It's like a local hole in the wall type of pasta place and it was delicious. kinda off a little from the buzz, but we definitely got the "local" feeling out there. And from what I remembered, it wasn't expensive, which was another plus!
