Our house is about to celebrate its 40th birthday, and we have slowly been replacing all of its original pre-code enforcement low-end builder grade features. It’s fancy. /s Soooo... we’re needing to replace the roof, and are considering metal. Can anyone suggest a good company to work with? Or to stay away from? And what were the costs per sqft for your project? We’ve also been eyeing all the solar panels in our neighborhood, and think it might be worth the investment, especially if we have a durable new roof to secure them to. Any recommendations there? I don't remember the cost/sqft, but the total cost was roughly twice the cost of shingles. Considering that this was the second time in about 8 years that we had to replace it because of weather damage, I think the cost was worth it.
