Recommendations for gym flooring/installation Hi!
My basement is currently all carpet and I am looking for help/opinions/sites for replacing a portion of my basement carpet with rubber or a hard surface to use as a mini gym. I am only looking to have a cardio machine, bench, and space for a yoga mat. I have tried the interlocking foam tiles on the carpet but not a long term solution.
I am not sure if its possible to put a harder surface over the carpet, or if I need to rip out some of the carpet and put in the flooring. More importantly, I am not sure where to start for what flooring, and what companies in Calgary to talk to. My google results only turn up wholesale flooring companies.
Any help/tips would be much appreciated.
TIA

I went and got thick rubber gym flooring from these guys, but I would recommend you remove the carpet and underlay otherwise it will still be soft/cushiony. Rymar Synthetic Grass & Rubber Flooring Calgary (403) 278-9777https://goo.gl/maps/Jf2 y56S8 agkDMsrFA
