  Just got back. Where are you going? We were in Schaumberg (west of downtown) and Wildfire and Uno Chicago Grill were right there. Wildfire is more upscale, but Unos is perfect. Both have good gluten free menus. When I was just in downtown yesterday, there were a few Chipotles right in downtown. Otherwise check with glutenfreeregistry.com for other options where you're going.

  if coming to the shore shore, there are quite a few options, she can check www.glutenfreeregistry.com & a few local spots who have gluten free menus are cabby shack (plymouth) and a bunch of chains, the registry is the easy way to find them.

This is my 4th week to be GF, and as far as I know I cut it out completely and had my first event of being glutened at a restaurant on Friday night and don't want to encounter that again anytime soon and not a huge salad fan.

  Another website and app is http://www.glutenfreeregistry.com Other Restaurants that I have found to do a good job are Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse and Big Orange. Even if a restaurant has a GF menu, it does not mean than the servers understand what GF means. I often find it is best to talk with the manager. There are some restaurants that don't have a GF menu, but do a good job making a GF meal when requested. Of course there is Dempsey Bakery. They serve lunch and they are a certified GF facility.

  I did not know that El Chico had gluten free options. What city are you looking for? You could go to www.glutenfreeregistry.com and check out the restaurants listed but you would have to call about meeting rooms. I know Lily's DimSum has a meeting room - I don't know how many it holds.

  If it is still there this late in the season there is an old school bus converted to an authentic Mexican taco stand right on one of the main streets. They have good food. www.glutenfreeregistry.com is a good resource too.
