  Looking for a premier hair salon in the area (ANC to Wasilla). Allure in Anchorage does not have consistently good reviews. I'd like to avoid Great Clips type of places, I already have a stylist in the $40 range but I am really looking for someone with a higher skill level.   If Drift doesn't have an opening for you, definitely consider Hair By Lauren. She travels to the lower 48 for classes regularly and stays current with the ever changing styles. She owns her own Salon in OKC, but is here due to a military spouse. I trust her with my hair like I never have before.

  I have naturally darker hair and prefer blonde. I've been using Lauren with Hair By Lauren since 2013. (We were both stationed in OK in '13) she was stationed here in '14, thank goodness! Lauren has never left my hair brassy at all. She knows what she's doing for sure.
