I have been known to go crazy in Whole Foods and gorge on waffles, doughnuts, pancakes etc. It's like a goldmine in there! This is a great bakery http://www.tu-lusbakery.com

Jennifer's Way Bakery is good. Tu-Lu's Gluten-Free Bakery is excellent. There's also By the Way bakery on the upper west side. One of the best gf restaurants in NYC is Risotteria, which also has great gf desserts including amazing tiramisu.
