Find an agent down here then transfer to another company when I move there? Find a place in the north? Is there anywhere that has branches all over so I can stay with the same company but change agents? This is my first time buying a car here so I don't even know what I don't know about insurance ;) thanks for your help.

  You can find the price for compulsory insurance on the government website however it doesn't include the price for 3 rd party liability or ביטוח מקיף. You can check on wobi.co.il but those prices don't include discounts that you can get from insurance companies

You can contact AIG and ביטוח ישיר directly, or speak to a good agent who may be able to get decent prices.
