Hi! I'm trying to buy a car in Jerusalem but I'll be moving to the north in about 2 months. Recommendations for what to do about insurance? Find an agent down here then transfer to another company when I move there? Find a place in the north? Is there anywhere that has branches all over so I can stay with the same company but change agents? This is my first time buying a car here so I don't even know what I don't know about insurance ;) thanks for your help.

This website can help you get benchmark insurance rates: https://www.wobi.co.il/ These two companies speak English and you can ask them for a quote: http://goldinsurance.co.il/?page_id=157&lang=enhttp://goldfus-ins.co.il/en/home/ Just make sure you shop around and negotiate, this is the one time your insurance agent will actually work for you.
I was quoted 8,000 shekel a year for car insurance for an oleh chadash - full coverage. Is this alot? And if so does someone have a suggestion where to get it cheaper?
Yair H. replied:
that's VERY high. Try wobi.co.il (i know they've developed a bad reputation lately for not being impartial but it's a start)
I'm looking for the absolutely cheapest life insurance for a small mortgage. A fixed fee that won't increase every year as the insured person, almost retirement age, gets older.

see what these guys can offer - i use them a lot: https://www.wobi.co.il/
Anyone have good information on travels insurance for traveling abroad TIA

Your kupat cholim should offer at a subsidized price. You can check www.wobi.co.il to compare with different insurance companies. I personally use AIG, but I've heard good things about PassportCard although they are significantly more expensive.
Is there anywhere to find out what car insurance should cost? I want to know if what I'm paying is normal...
Daniel C. replied:
You can find the price for compulsory insurance on the government website however it doesn't include the price for 3 rd party liability or ביטוח מקיף. You can check on wobi.co.il but those prices don't include discounts that you can get from insurance companies
Is there any sort of compare the market for car insurance here? Or any advice on where to get good insurance for cheap? Thanks
Josh W. replied:
One place to compare is wobi.co.il, though I believe yad2 may have a tool to compare as well. For ביטוח חובה, you have: http://car.mof.gov.il/, http://www.hova.co.il/, and http://www.ucompare.co.il/?gclid=CInos9W31 soCFcO4GwodNugJ8 w Otherwise, you need to just shop around. You can contact AIG and ביטוח ישיר directly, or speak to a good agent who may be able to get decent prices.
anyone know how to compare car insurances in israel? who is best to go with?
Idit S. replied:
wobi.co.il My husband stayed with his old insurance after they reduced it by like 2K when he showed his the other offers he found on wobi. Don't go with the first offer.
What are the best cheapest car insurance companies. Two people over 25 no bad car history.
Nat Z. replied:
No single insurer is consistently better/cheaper than all the rest. It hinges on individual details--ages, favorable driving experience, vehicle, etc. The best objective comparison I know of is through http://wobi.co.il . You input all of your details, and it spits out quotations through various insurers.
Good morning... how does one go about buying car insurance?... can it be done online?... any cheap company you guys recommend? other things that I might need to know? TIA
Gadi B. replied:
Yes, it can be done online. Look for ביטוח רכב and you'll find plenty of options. www.wobi.co.il will help you compare the offerings from various companies.
We are buying a new car with our Oleh rights and just arranging car insurance. Are Colmobil a good insurance company? (We are buying a Hyundai). Their quote is 1000 nis less than the other quote we have and they seem pretty much the same except the price. Thanks
