  With the inherent risks that come with endurance events, does anyone carry insurance on their endurance horses? If so, what kind of coverage do you have or do you find necessary?

  My horse only cost $500, but his purchase price had no bearing on the amount I was able to insure him for. Go to equineinsurance.com they are awesome. I insured him for $3500 mortality and then he had major medical and surgical insurance too. I also carry the AERC liability policy for traveling etc.
