  Recommendations for a roof? [Newark] My house has a 30-year roof on it that is well... 30 years old. No issues with it yet, but I don't want to get to that point. It already has 2 layers of shingles on it and probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the plywood should probably be replaced underneath. Straight A frame roof with no gables or anything fancy. Typically 70's home in Scottfield. We had a guy come out last year from a national place and give a quote and it was way high. But this spring/summer it definitely should be done. Anyone have good experiences with local companies?

  Kirkin roofing did our roof and I was very happy with the results. We had an issue with a sun tunnel we had installed and they made it right. They were one of the higher estimates - but I really liked the ventilation system and quality materials. I would not recommend just covering up your old roof with new shingles. We had 4 sheets of waterlogged plywood that was replaced. http://www.kirkinroofing.com/
