  Well, the two nurseries in Ponchatoula are pretty much a bust for natives. I did find a passionflower vine at one but that's about it. Anyone know any nurseries in the Hammond or Northshore area that carry natives and butterfly or hummingbird plants? I'm going to miss Naylor's, I can tell.

  Mail Order Natives is based out of Florida but they carry a lot of Louisiana Native Plants that you can order online. They're cheaper than most online native places for trees but the trees come very small. I gave them a trial run this spring with a few interesting things like a Silverbell Tree (Halesia diptera), a Florida Star Anise, and a native azalea. I'll hold my judgement to see how these plants are doing in one year but they're all still living right now. http://www.mailordernatives.com/
