Ideally I'm wanting to do a week to 10 days retreat. I attend yoga here in Fremantle and really need to escape from the busy daily grind. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated

  Hi there. I'm Kirsty, Shaw Innes's sister. I am a yoga teacher, and visited Ubud in July so here are my recommendations... check out www.balispirit.com and sign up for their newsletter. It is a directory of Bali's upcoming 'spiritual' events. The Yoga Barn in Ubud has classes all day every day if you want to do your own little retreat. They also have onsite accommodation as well as ayurvedic treatments and a great organic cafe. The Yoga Barn also runs retreats. Google them for the details. It's right in the heart of Ubud but off the street so it has the retreat feel. Cat Kabrina teaches there and I hear she is brilliant. Intuitive Flow in Ubud also does retreats. they are still in ubud but you might need a motorcycle to get there or stay closeby. Desa Seni Eco Village is apparently the creme de la creme of yoga retreats. I haven't been but have heard wonderful things about it. If i went back to Bali i think i would go there. Hope that helps.   EVENT ORGANISER/RETREAT FACILITATOR AGENT WANTED (Not for me) I have a young Indonesian friend, recently graduated from a U.S. University, who's family owns a couple of hotels in the Ubud area. He's been tasked to start promoting these two (stunning, fabulous) properties as a good place for retreats, conferences, seminars, etc etc. As I understand it there are people who specialize in organizing such places for those who want to give such events that could help him find customers.
