Dog training/ behaviorist recommendations I’m looking for recommendations in the Columbus area for a dog trainer or behaviorist for my small dog who is having issues with leash reactivity and being unfriendly towards guests in our home (barking whenever they move for example). She’s a small dog that we got from a rescue a couple of years ago and was likely abused, so now she’s scared of most people and dogs. Our vet recommended a behaviorist at OSU, but I noticed they’re a little pricey and wasn’t sure if her behavior was to the point where we needed a veterinary behaviorist or if a trainer would be able to help instead. If a veterinary behaviorist is what she needs, then we’re willing to pay for it, but I wanted to see if anyone had positive experiences with other trainers or behaviorists for similar issues. Thank you!

https://www.nobaddogsohio.com Elissa O’Sullivan - I highly recommend. We have a small dog with reactivity issues. No leash issues but definitely reacts poorly to people especially in our home. She is all positive training. No shock collars, prong collars, punishments, etc. It’s all about rewarding the dog for the good behaviors so that they will continue.
Dog trainer recommendations We have a 6-month old puppy who we need to train to quit jumping on people. Any recommendations for local dog trainers? Ideally the person would come to our house but we’re flexible on that if the person comes highly recommended. Thanks!

Columbus dog training Can anyone recommend a Dog trainer for an old dog that is resource guarding toys? We just added a new dog to the mix and want to curb the old dogs resource guarding

I absolutely recommend Elissa O'Sullivan. She is 100% positive methods only and is a dog behaviorist, so wants to address what is causing the issue. She's fantastic, and believes learning should not hurt. http://nobaddogsohio.com/

I second that! She is the best. Contact her by email and give her several days to get back to you - she is in constant demand, cause she's that good! nobaddogs@wideopenwest.com Elissa O'Sullivan
Any recommendations for dog trainers or training classes?

Elissa O'Sullivan is awesome http://www.nobaddogsohio.com/index.html She also makes house calls. We just did regular obedience classes and the heel class. She taught us how to work with Madison and showed us things we may have been doing wrong that might be confusing Madison.
