  Summer is almost here and I am in the process (as part of spring cleaning) of going through my first aid kit, getting rid of expired meds, replacing items we have used, and adding new suggestions from friends and family. The kit we carry is pretty big, and useful for animals and people in our travels. It has everything from bug repellant to band aids, an antibiotic creme, benadryl.... I keep a checklist on the lid of the kit, which is a good sized tupperware bin. I am just wondering what is your most used first aid item for your dogs, bullmastiff lovers?

  Hi Lindsey, They are available several places and are used if/when a dog bloats in order to release the stomach gases so that the bloat will not result in torsion. Check out Naturesfarmacy.com and see the kit they have. Many of us carry them in our travels and hope never to use them, but they have been invaluable on occasion.
