Is it an under-the-bridge piezo pickup? Definitely tricky with a 12-string, so talk to the luthier and trust your gut.

If it's something more complicated than they can handle, they will likely refer you to [Portland Fretworks](http://www.portlandfretworks.com/) or [Twelfth Fret](http://www.twelfthfret.net/)
