I'll just follow what others have said with my personal thoughts. * [Char Guitars](http://www.charguitars.com/) - A master but maybe not the cheapest * [Portland Fret Works](http://www.portlandfretworks.com/) - reliable and professional * [Centaur Guitar](https://www.centaurguitar.com/) - great people and possibly your best deal * [12 th Fret](http://www.the12 thfret.com/) - A Portland institution and conveniently close-in SE. Is it an under-the-bridge piezo pickup? Definitely tricky with a 12-string, so talk to the luthier and trust your gut.

Eastside guitar repair is great. Works on most of the guitars from bigger touring bands in Portland. He can be a little backed up on repair though so just tell him when you need it by and see if he can do it. 12 th Fret is great too. Knowledgeable and friendly. As far as Trade-In credit goes you should visit Trade Up and see what they can offer. I think they have a repair zone on Division. Call to confirm though. I can't recommend them for repair because I've never used them.

Theres's also a luthier who just split off from one of those shops (12 th fret or trade up or something I forget). "Little trees" is his business name I think. He does great work.

[Centaur Guitar](http://www.centaurguitar.com/) does minor repairs and is an all-around awesome shop owned & run by musicians. I'd start there. If it's something more complicated than they can handle, they will likely refer you to [Portland Fretworks](http://www.portlandfretworks.com/) or [Twelfth Fret](http://www.twelfthfret.net/)

Twelfth fret for sure, took all of my guitars there when I lived in PDX

I'm not sure if they'd do it but you could check with Bourgeois Guitars in Lewiston. There also Main Street Music in Auburn, the guy there does a great job.
